In 2010, a story on Courtney Lewis as a young conductor noted "His interpretive ideas are extremely subtle, and he has an uncanny power of conveying… what he hears internally, to players.” Fast-forward to 2022, and Lewis leads the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, with clear artistic vision, subtle musicality and innovative programming. It was an honor to work with Sametz Blackstone, capturing different facets of this gifted conductor.
