I AM LEAR on stage 06/27/17
What a pleasure to work with an experienced creative team to bring this work-in-progress to the stage. Based a series of workshops within local elder centers, and using themes from Shakespeare’s King Lear, I Am Lear inspires dialogue around aging. We incorporated larger-than-life images from these workshops into a production at BU College of Fine Arts to highlight not only the women on stage and in the audience but also those in the greater community. Produced by Bobbie Steinbach, supported by Actors’ Shakespeare Project, and funded by the William & Eva Fox Foundation.
