Picturing Community
Picturing Community is a new teaching and mentoring photography program at Gateway Arts, our Station Street neighbor. We worked closely with the staff to develop this program for artists with disabilities. Photography is a new medium for some; for others, a chance to focus their artistic eye in new directions.
We curated images from the program that highlight themes of observation and connection - from the studio to the streetscape - exploring our neighboring communities through the camera lens. Together, the works reflect both individual perspective and community vision, revealing how ideas can be translated through a lens, a moment, and a fresh way of seeing.
