Mornings & Mishaps
Mornings & Mishaps, a personal project, was inspired in the early days of the smartphone, when distraction was already reshaping our shared reality and the mindfulness industrial complex was polishing its business plan. Long before clickbait and social media on steroids, the device that promised worldwide connection and ‘apps for that™’ invaded our minds, ultimately fragmenting our attention and conversation.
As caught up as anyone in this irony, my personal work confronts the mobile screen as it evolves into the lens through which we view the world, each other, and ourselves. Mornings & Mishaps revitalizes a studio project that explores these themes, focusing on shared absurdities.
